It took Gerry Kingen about a decade, but he is on his way to building a second national restaurant chain.  Kingen, who created Seattle-based restaurant chain Salty’s and founded Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, on Friday opened a Kent headquarters and central kitchen for Pecos Pit Bar-B-Que. He opened the West Seattle Pecos restaurant in 2016 and plans to open 19 to 24 more locations in the Northwest that he expects will bring in about $40 million a year in sales.  After the Northwest is the U.S. and then the world, Kingen said.  If anyone can execute such an ambitious growth plan, it is probably Kingen.
